2016 June Lake Winter Festival Recap

Last month, on February 27th, we participated in the June Lake Winter Festival! The June Lake Winter Festival is an all-day event for the whole family to have fun in the snow! We had the Triple Threat Triathlon, and a Family Fun Zone full of games and fun activities. If you couldn’t make it, here is a glimpse of what you missed!

Triple Threat Triathlon

We started the morning off with some friendly competition in the Triple Threat Triathlon! Competitors raced three legs which included a cross country skiing, Fatbike, and laser rifle shooting! I know what it looks like, but no, the contestant isn’t trying to shoot those people in the distance! There are laser targets placed on the ground 🙂 A big thanks to Eastside Wide for providing Fatbikes for the race! We had a beautiful day on the day of the race! Here are the results of the Triple Threat Triathlon. Congratulations to the winners, and a big thank you to everyone who participated!  

The Family Fun Zone

The Family Fun Zone was held in the June Mountain parking lot, and it was a blast! There was a sledding hill for the kids (and any adults who wished to unleash their inner child), some awesome snow sculptures, some good old games of Corn Hole, and much more! Thank you to everybody who put in long hours to make this happen! And an even bigger thank you to everyone who participated! We look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s June Lake Winter Festival!
