Parker Lake Trail

Parker Lake Parker Lake Trail is a beautiful hike with so much to see! The trail is a moderate 1.6 miles each way, totaling 3.2 miles for the whole trip. As far as hikes go in the June Lake Loop, this is one of the easier ones, and well worth the 15 minute drive from the Double Eagle Resort and Spa to get there! To get to the Parker Lake Trail Head, you’ll want to head North from the Double Eagle past Grant Lake. Shortly after passing Grant Lake, you will see a sign for Parker Lake Road. Parker lake road is a dirt road that stretches for a couple miles. You can follow it all the way up to the trail head.   Parker Lake Trail Head The hike starts out in a wide open, desert setting. A few hundred yards into our hike, I looked back and snapped this picture.   Beginning of Parker Lake Trail As you hike on, the low desert brush quickly introduces tall pine trees.   Parker Creek A short distance further, and you stumble upon Parker Creek. Parker Creek is so peaceful, you start to feel like you are in a fairy tale. The rest of the hike follows the creek up to Parker Lake.   Aspens on Parker Lake Trail Almost there!   Parker Lake You come out of the trees to this view.
