Fly fishing Adventures
Learn the basics of fly-fishing - Resort guests, under our supervised instruction, can hook and play with our local Alper’s trout on our private ponds. Ron’s Pond is located on the Resort site and no fishing license is required. All fishing is “catch and release only” - using barbless hooks. Non-Resort guests may fish on Ron’s Pond @ a rate of $15/hr/person.
Age restrictions apply – Children (12 and younger) are not permitted to fish Ron’s Pond unless they can demonstrate to the instructor or guide their skill level in handling a 9’ rod. Children must be accompanied by a parent when fishing.
We provide all fishing guests instructions on the handling and release of our fish.
Fishing lessons are one to three hours in duration and they include all the gear needed for the lesson. “Casting” lesson 1 hour - $100 for 1 person, $125 for 2 persons, $150 for 3 persons
“Introduction To Fly Fishing” 3 hours - $150 for 1 person, $175 for 2 persons, $200 for 3 persons
For the experienced fly-fisherman - Black’s Pond, just minutes away from the Resort is a pristine site often described as “a fisherman’s dream”. This Pond is stocked with monster Alper’s trout. All fishing is “catch and release only” - using barbless hooks. Access is available in three hour blocks for $60 per rod.
Guided Fishing Adventures - Can be arranged through our local fishing guides and local fishing shops by appointment only. Arrangements can be made through the lodging office 760-648-7004 Ext. 1
